In recent years there has been consistent investment in the expansion and/or modernisation of lift facilities in Gastein. Cable-cars are particularly suitable for covering large differences in altitude and impassable terrain.
Depending on the situation the constructing engineers select from the various cable-car systems. In the Ski amadé region 270 lift facilities transport you comfortably and safely up the mountains. 42 of these lifts are to be found in the skiing region around Gastein.
