On the June 30th, July 30th and August 15th everyone can take part of the "First Aid on the mountain". On these special days there are 3 stations at the Stubnerkogel and at the Schlossalm. The topics at the stations are reanimation, joint injuries and wound treatment. Everybody who successfully takes part at all three stations gets a diploma.
"A valley learns to rescue"
The project "A valley learns about safety" was conceived and tested by the Red Cross Gastein. It's about the thing - bringing people first aid closer. In emergencies counts every second and first aid can save lives. Experienced instructors of the Red Cross explain the most important principles at the various stations. The participants learn in many practical exercises the handling of the equipment, the right handles and measures to help in an emergency. The stations are free of charge and offer a lot of hands-on input in a short time and in a realistic environment. All participants who complete the three stations receive a certificate and a small gift.
