Großarler Sinnesweg trail – route description

To get to this hidden gem of the Dorfgastein-Großarltal hiking area, you first have to ride up to the mountain station of Panoramabahn Großarltal cable car. From there, a 30-minute walk takes you to the starting point of the “Senses Trail”. The easy and pushchair-friendly circular hike features several stations dedicated to the five elements of wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. Among others, you will visit an impressive wooden tower, a pyramid with a viewing platform, and a lovingly arranged herbal garden. The purpose of the trail: To grant guests of all ages fascinating perspectives of Gastein’s marvelous nature. Plus, young hikers will love the seesaws, swings, and quizzes along the trail.
