At the ski area and freeride paradise of Sportgastein, Goldbergbahn cable car and Kreuzkogellift take you up to the starting points of many great slopes and off-piste routes.

Operating hours of the lifts at Graukogel, the natural-snow ski resort

At Graukogel ski resort, you can hop on Graukogelbahn or Reichebenlift to get to the starting point of your snow adventure.

Unfortunately, the weather isn’t cooperating as we had hoped, so the Graukogel has to be temporarily closed. We will, of course, keep you updated and let you know as soon as operations resume.

Slope closure in Skigastein

The ski slopes of the Schlossalm - Angertal - Stubnerkogel ski area are open from 8:30 a.m. Depending on the location of the ski slope and the time of year, the ski slopes are closed from 4:00 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 5:00 p.m. or 8:00 p.m.
Skiing on or entering the slopes during this time is prohibited! Exceptions apply for evening ski tours and early morning skiing.

*In case of adverse weather, operations may be suspended on a daily basis at short notice. In October, the season may end early if winter sets in.

TIP: In summer there will be mountain cart rides on the Fulseck in Dorfgastein from the mountain station to the middle station.

Summer operating hours of Goldbergbahn cable car in Sportgastein

Goldbergbahn cable car only operates on special promotion days during summer – on the weekend of the “Nassfelder Almfest”. On these days, Goldbergbahn cable car is in operation. Season tickets and Almorama Cards (multi-day tickets) are also valid for the Goldbergbahn on the action days at the Almfest in Sportgastein.

On the special promotion days: Saturday, 8 August and Sunday, 9 August

from 8.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m

TIP: From the Goldbergbahn mountain station, it is just a few minutes' walk to the Kreuzkogel summit cross at 2,686 meters. The ascent on the action days is rewarded with a spectacular view of the surrounding mountain landscape. Be there and experience the mountain panorama!
