The Skigastein Heros stand for the ultimate combination of adrenaline, panorama, and pure skiing fun. Three extraordinary runs, three unique experiences – for everyone who doesn’t just want to ski the mountain, but truly feel it.
Whether you’re chasing vertical meters, seeking speed, or capturing the perfect moment – each Hero slope has its own character, its own vibe, and its special highlight. Together, they form the sporting heart of Skigastein.
The Skigastein Heros aren’t about racing against the clock – they’re about a journey through snow, scenery, and emotion. Every turn and every carving line tells its own story: of quiet moments at 2,000 meters, sweeping views over the Tauern mountains, and the exhilarating rush of speed.
Between summit and valley await experiences that last: the glass dome panorama at 2,650 meters, the swinging suspension bridge, and the parallel slalom for those who crave an extra thrill. It’s a winter adventure that goes far beyond the slopes.
Skigastein Heros – feel the mountain, ride the flow, share your moment.
With 1,441 meters of vertical drop and 10 kilometers in length, it’s Salzburg’s longest valley run – and one of the most impressive in all of Austria. Starting at the Hohe Scharte mountain station (2,304 m) and descending all the way to the valley, skiers experience a thrilling mix of gentle slopes, steep sections, and untouched nature.
Two photo points capture your personal moments of triumph – one at the panoramic start and another at the finish line at the Leaderwall. Early birds enjoy freshly groomed slopes bathed in golden morning light, while pros compete for glory during “The Nord – The Race.”
Two mountains, four slopes, 4,000 vertical meters: The Infinity Loop connects Schlossalm, Angertal, and Stubnerkogel into one continuous circuit. From the 11er slope to the Junger and Ochsenriedel runs and the challenging Steilhang, the variety ranges from smooth carving bliss to athletic excitement.
Along the route, viewing platforms, checkpoints, and culinary stops combine sporty ambition with breathtaking panoramas.
Short, intense, spectacular: Located directly beneath the Jungeralm lift, this 100-meter sprint delivers pure speed and the fastest adrenaline kick in the valley. A camera automatically records your run and uploads it straight to your Skigastein profile – including a digital badge for the Grand Tour Trophy.
Perfect slope conditions, grippy snow, and a stunning view of the Gastein Valley make the Speedline 100 the new must-try for thrill seekers.
Blue, red, or black: Thanks to its varied ski resorts, Skigastein is a popular destination for winter sports enthusiasts of all skill levels. While experienced riders can swoosh down the more challenging ski runs, beginners enjoy the gentle hills at the family-friendly ski resorts. Here’s an overview of the four areas:
