There are barrier-free toilets at the following locations: Stubnerkogel valley station, Stubnerkogel mountain station, Schlossalm valley station and Schlossalm mountain station. The toilets are located in the cable car buildings and are closed outside of regular operating hours.

Arrival
Detailed information for the arrival by car, train or bus for people with disabilites
By car
If you arrive by car, parking spaces for people with disabilities are available both at the new valley station of the Schlossalm cable car and at the valley station of the Stubnerkogel cable car. Form there you can easily get to the entrance of the cable cars. A detailed description of the journey to Gastein by car can be found here.
By train
If you choose to travel by train, we recommend contacting the ÖBB mobility service. There you will get information about the best ways to get to Gastein as well as assistance available to you once you get here.
The Bad Hofgastein train station is not yet barrier-free, but the goal is to change this soon. There are also permanent taxi and bus connections to the different towns of the Gastein Valley. After arriving by train in Bad Gastein, you can reach the Stubnerkogel cable car via the barrier-free overhead crossing made of glass. To do this, leave the train station and cross the main street to get to the elevator. With the elevator you can reach the glass overhead crossing, which brings you directly to the valley station. At the end of the bridge there are a few steps, but they are also equipped with rails to ensure barrier-free crossing is no problem.
By bus
The timetables of regular bus connections to and in Gastein Valley can be found here. In Bad Hofgastein, the bus station is right next to the new valley station of the Schlossalm cable car. The valley station is easily accessible within two minutes.
In Bad Gastein, the bus stop is right next to the train station. To get to the valley station of the Stubnerkogel cable car, you can use the barrier-free overhead crossing. To do this, cross the main road after your arrival to get to the elevator. Take the elevator up and you will reach the glass overhead crossing that leads you to the valley station.
As an alternative to the elevator, after crossing the street you can also drive towards the entrance of the “Felsentherme” spa. This also leads you to the clearly visible overhead crossing, but there is an ascent. At the end of the bridge there are a few steps, but they are also equipped with rails to ensure barrier-free crossing is no problem.
Cable cars

The cable cars, which are suitable for people with disabilities, are spacious and easily accessible. The benches can also be folded up if necessary, but usually there is no need for this. The cable car and platform are at the exact same level.
Cash desk access

The cash desks at the valley station of the Stubnerkogel cable car are easily accessible. If you arrive by car, the ticket office can be reached within a few meters and is, of course, also barrier-free.
The cash desks are also easily accessible at the valley station of the Schlossalm cable car. Thanks to the existing lifts, all levels can be reached easily, regardless of the means of transport you use for arriving at the Schlossalm cable car.
