Winter hiking on the Sendleiten Winter Hiking Trail
Starting with the 2026/27 winter season, the new Sendleiten Winter Hiking Trail invites you to discover the snow-covered Schlossalm away from the ski slopes. Enjoy breathtaking views, crisp winter air, and the tranquality of the alpine landscape. A special experience for anyone who wants to actively and mindfully enjoy winter in Gastein.

Sendleiten Winter Hiking Trail – route description
From the Schlossalmbahn's midway station, the winter hiking trail leads past the Bärsteinalm and along winter hiking trails to the Sendleitenbahn. After taking the lift up, follow the signposted winter hiking trail back to the Schlossalm mountain station.
The winter hiking trail combinies a nature experience with mountain railway ride to create a special winter tour.
Important: Due to the alpine terrain and winter conditions, good physical fitness and appropriate gear are required.
