For piste tourers, various attractive routes are available from beginner to advanced. These are designated and secured routes that are well signposted and lead to the most beautiful viewpoints in the Gastein Valley.
Prices for ski touring on the slopes
Who starts a ski tour needs:
- Ski Touring one-way ticket for 16 Euro or
- Ski Touring season ticket for 170 Euro or
- Valid multi-day ticket or
- Ski amadé ALL-IN Card White or
- SuperSkiCard Premium
The ski touring routes on the Graukogel (without lift use) are also free of charge in winter 2023/24.
Included in the ski touring cards:
- Parking lot use
- Lift use of the first section (Schlossalm or Graukogel or Sportgastein)
- Ascent tracks
- Ski run
- Infrastructure
NEW: The ski touring tickets are also valid in Dorfgastein in winter 2023/24.
The slope ski touring tickets are available in our online ticket store as well as at our ticket offices.

The other piste touring routes are not available until further notice due to season preparations.
ATTENTION: In areas that are not open, snow groomers are in operation day and night.
Evening piste ski tour from Angertal to Stubneralm (Stubnerkogel)
Every Tuesday from 20.12.2022 to 04.04.2023 and on the following full moon evenings 2023:

- Monday 6. March
- Tuesday 7. March
- Thursday 6 April
The evening piste ski tour to the Stubneralm is free of charge.
►TIPP
On the above evenings, the Stubneralm - the tip for coziness - remains open and warmly welcomes all ski tourers. All hungry athletes will be spoiled with freshly cooked, regional delicacies (Kasnock'n, Ripperl or steaks please pre-order).
For larger groups please book in advance at the Stubneralm under +43 664 93 13 278.
Please note:
Only on the specified evenings (in the time from 17.00 to 22.00) the piste closure for the B11 Angertalabfahrt (only below the Stubneralm) is lifted. Please note, however, that during this time piste equipment (without winches) and snowmaking equipment are in use and there is no piste safety and piste control.
Evening ski tour on Graukogel
Every Wednesday and Friday from 21.12.2022 to 24.03.2023 and on the following full moon evenings 2023:
- Friday 6. January
- Sunday 5. February
- Tuesday 7. March
Also the evening piste ski tour on the Graukogel are free of charge.
►TIPP
On the above evenings, the Graukogelhütte offers hearty roast dinner, ribs and fondue against advance booking. Groups please book in advance at the Graukogelhütte under +43 664 38 12 588.

Please note:
Only on the evenings indicated above (in the period from 17.00 to 22.00) the piste closure is lifted for the B2 Standard, the B4 (Heimalm) and the B5 (Schachenbauer). On all other days these slopes are open until 20.00. Please note, however, that even during these exceptional times, piste equipment (without winches) is in use and there is no piste safety and piste control.
Rules for ski touring on the slopes:
10 piste tour rules from the Austrian Board of Trustees for Alpine Safety:
- Observe warning notices and local regulations.
- Only drive on freshly groomed slopes in the peripheral area.
- Only climb up at the edge of the piste and one behind the other.
- Make yourself visible.
- Do not take dogs with you on the slopes.
- Obey the closure of a slope.
- Leave the slopes in the evening at the time set by the cable car company.
- Cross the slope only in clear places and with sufficient distance to each other.
- Only use these routes for ascent routes / pistes specially dedicated to piste tours.
- Use the designated parking spaces.

No. The designated piste tours can only be used outside the official piste closures and only when they are officially open. Whether a piste tour is open can be seen under: https://www.skigastein.com/en/winter/lifts-winter.
No. The use of unsigned ski runs is prohibited.
In the event of any accidents, the piste tourer has to reckon with legal liability consequences.
Yes, in the multi-day passes, the Ski amadé ALL-IN Card White and the Super Ski Card Premium the use of the designated piste touring routes is included.
There is a day ticket for 15 euros as well as a season ticket for 150 euros.
Both tickets are only valid for the designated piste tourer routes of the Gasteiner Bergbahnen AG.
Children (born 2007 and younger) can use the routes (without cable car ride) free of charge.
If a lift is used, a valid multi-day ticket, Ski amadé ALL-IN Card White, SuperSkiCard Premium, piste tour season or day ticket is required.
Young people (born 2004 to 2006) require a valid ticket for all piste tours.
Random checks are to be expected. If no valid ticket is presented, a single piste tourer ticket (€ 15,00) must be purchased.
Illegally parked vehicles are subject to a trespass lawsuit.
Tickets are available in the online ticket store and at all ticket offices of Gasteiner Bergbahnen AG.
Included are: Parking lot use, lift use of the first section (Schlossalm or Graukogel or Sportgastein), ascent tracks, ski run & infrastructure.
ATTENTION: The toll of the Gasteiner Alpenstraße is not included!
Piste tourers day tickets from the online ticket shop can be used directly on the smartphone or printed out yourself. No detour to the cash desk is necessary.
The smartphone can also be used when using the first section of the Schlossalmbahn or Graukogellift.
Season tickets for ski tourers are personalized and only available on a KeyCard.
When purchasing in the online ticket shop, the following options are available: topping up an existing KeyCard, picking it up at a cash desk, sending it by post.
