Paragliders and hang-gliders can use the Fulseck cable car to get to the summit at 2033 m above sea level and then take to the skies! Following a breathtaking flying experience, hang-gliders and paragliders can land in meadows in the valley set aside specifically for them (separate meadows for each sport). Record jumps are a regular occurrence in Dorfgastein!

If you’re a keen mountain biker, not only can you ride your bike here in Dorfgastein, but you can also take it on the cable car with you up to the halfway station! The marked cycling trails will take you past a number of Alpine taverns to the Hauserbauer Alpine Inn or to Harbach (Bad Hofgastein region).

Thanks to a new trail that leads up to the Fulseck summit, it is now possible to cycle from Dorfgastein to Fulseck via one direct route. As long as you’re prepared to conquer an altitude difference of 1170m, that is!

Dorfgasteiner Bergbahnen AG also encourages visitors to enjoy the new trendy sport of Nordic walking on Fulseck. Dorfgastein’s motto is “A fit and healthy lifestyle” and as such, it offers a range of attractive walking routes with beautiful mountain backdrops. Whether you regard Nordic walking as a leisure activity or you want to use it as a conditioning sport, the Fulseck offers all the facilities you need to enjoy it in amongst the splendour of the Dorfgastein mountain scenery. The main idea is to get you to top up your energy reserves while enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings!

Dorfgastein-Grossarltal bike swing

The Dorfgastein-Grossarltal bike connection enables mountain bikers the usage of the Grossarltal single trail. You can either cycle uphill from Dorfgastein or have an ascent with the Gipfelbahn-Fulseck. The mountain bike single trail starts at the Panoramabahn mountain station in Grossarltal. From there you can choose between to variants with a length of 10 km and 960 m difference of altitude to the valley.
You can easily get back up the mountain with the panorama cable car. When you arrive at the mountain station, the signposted mountain bike route leads back to Dorfgastein or to even more descents on the Grossarltal single trail. The single trail has a level of difficulty S1.
