Varied range of slopes in the Gastein Valley

Skiers, whether beginners or advanced, can enjoy 196.9 kilometres of pistes on varied runs in the Gastein ski area in Salzburger Land.

Here is an overview of the slopes on offer in the Schlossalm-Angertal-Stubnerkogel, Sportgastein, Graukogel and Dorfgastein-Großarl ski areas:

Black slopes

For adrenaline junkies, Gastein has 16 challenging, black pistes with a total length of 7,5 kilometres. As soon as you arrive at the summit with the ski lift, it's time to shoot and show off your skills on the slopes, including a magnificent view of the Gastein Valley.

red slopes

Advanced skiers can look forward to 103 km of fun on the slopes with a total of 46 varied red ski runs. A stop in one of the many ski huts is always worthwhile, either to sample regional delicacies or simply to gather strength for further ski descents and to go full throttle on the slopes again.

blue slopes

Skiing beginners will enjoy the varied range of slopes on the 25 easier blue runs with a total length of 66 kilometres of slopes. Schlossalm-Angertal-Stubnerkogel and Dorfgastein-Großarltal are especially recommended as beginner ski areas. These slopes also offer the possibility to stop for a break and enjoy the magnificent view of the wintry Gastein Valley.
