Ski touring in Gastein

Discover the Gastein valley in winter

Explore the diversity of the Gastein Valley on a ski tour. From Bad Gastein you can enjoy varied ski tours up to the Graukogel or the Stubnerkogel. Another very popular starting point for a ski tour is Dorfgastein. Here you can go on a ski tour on the Fulseck.

 

Stubnerkogel

In the winter season you are able to do some ski tours to the Stubneralm (from the ski center Angertal) each Tuesday (until March 30, 2021) and on some special days around full moon.

Advice:

The slope closure for the slope B11 is lifted only on the above mentioned nights from 5.00 to 10.00 pm. as far as the Stubneralm remain. Please notice that during this time there are snow groomers on their way (without winch) and snow guns can be turned on. There is also no slope control and slope safety! 

 

Graukogel

Ski touring is also possible at the Graukogel mountain in order to enjoy a fabulous atmosphere in the nature.

Every Wednesday and Friday until April 2, 2021 and on full moon evenings the slopes on Graukogel remain open until 10.00 pm for ski touring enthusiasts, night-active athletes, moonstruck people and winter lovers.

Rules for ski tourers:

Only climb the piste using the edge of the slope, go in single file and beware of other skiers 
Never cross the piste in areas where visibility is restricted   
Obey piste closures and warning signs  
After dark, always have your headlamp switched on and wear reflective clothing
Pay close attention to potential alpine hazards
Be considerate of wildlife and young trees
